Hi-Fi News was launched in June 1956, and the statement of policy in first issue was that: “In Hi-Fi News, we shall endeavour earnestly to represent the high standards that are essential for high fidelity sound reproduction. We offer Hi-Fi News to the manufacturer as a medium through which his goods can be displayed and discussed, and we present it to our readers as a paper they can trust and rely upon.”  The magazine offers in-depth reviews of all audio equipment, entry-level to super-fi high-end, with authoritative technical features, new product and technology news, product lab testing and group tests, readers’ system features, on-location manufacturer features, opinion columns from industry experts, show reports and music reviews (jazz, classical, rock/pop and audiophile).

“HiFi-News is delighted to participate in Europe’s most prestigioius Awards programme.”
