Hi-Fi News was launched in June 1956, and the statement of policy in first issue was that: “In Hi-Fi News, we shall endeavour earnestly to represent the high standards that are essential for high fidelity sound reproduction. We offer Hi-Fi News to the manufacturer as a medium through which his goods can be displayed and discussed, and we present it to our readers as a paper they can trust and rely upon.”  The magazine offers in-depth reviews of all audio equipment, entry-level to super-fi high-end, with authoritative technical features, new product and technology news, product lab testing and group tests, readers’ system features, on-location manufacturer features, opinion columns from industry experts, show reports and music reviews (jazz, classical, rock/pop and audiophile).

“HiFi-News is delighted to participate in Europe’s most prestigioius Awards programme.”

As the sovereign serpent in TCI's (True Colours Industries) longstanding range of loudspeaker cables, King Cobra is not new but it has 'evolved' since we last tested the Stereo version [HFN Jan '13]. Seen here […]
  • Rogers LS3/5a Classic Loudspeaker 12th септември 2019
Like buses, you wait and wait for genuine LS3/5as and then two come along – now Rogers is back with a re-engineered version of the milestone, to our reviewer's delight Throughout my hi-fi career, I have manifested three fixations: valves, Decca cartridges and BBC LS3/5as, all of which faced sell-by dates 40 years ago. My […]
