A3/AvtoZvuk

AvtoZvuk (which means ‘Auto Sound’ in Russian) began life as a section within the home audio magazine Salon Audio Video. In June 1998, the first issue as a standalone magazine was launched. A3 (as it is abbreviated) is a popular magazine which specialises in mobile infotainment: car audio, video, multimedia, navigation and communication. The magazine is aimed at a wide audience, ranging from beginners to professional installers, dealers and audio engineers. Readership research has shown that A3 is read in almost every installation shop in the country.

The bulk of each issue is composed of equipment and component tests (including laboratory studies and auditions) and featured cars. In addition, there are articles containing photos and results of listening tests and measurements made with a portable audio analyser. Each issue also contains a news section, reports from car audio competitions, shows and special events, plus educational materials and the hands-on experience of amateur enthusiasts. Every issue includes a complimentary CD containing special test tracks.

“When A3 applied for membership in EISA, we had two goals in mind: to have our magazine recognised as a member of international professional community and to become an active part of this community,  gaining the benefits of professional contacts and exchanging views with our European colleagues. Now, we have reached both goals. An EISA logo on the magazine masthead and on a business card sends a clear message to everyone involved in the industry: ‘this is serious, this is world class’. And regular meetings and discussions with experienced members of the association have helped us to improve our magazine, making it a world class publication.”
