Alta Fidelidad, Spain

Alta Fidelidad en Audio y Vídeo was launched in Spain in 1990. In the beginning, its contents were translated from the Italian Alta Fedelta magazine. However, since the end of 1992, the magazine has produced all its own content. Alta Fidelidad is the oldest specialist audio/video magazine in Spain, and possibly in the Spanish language.
From almost the beginning, Alta Fidelidad has specialised in high quality products. It publishes a number of test reports each month, which are combined with in-depth features related to all technical aspects of audio and video. It also publishes comparative tests of individual components and fully optimised systems. Every four months, the magazine produces a six-page report on a reference component and also includes a report on a reader’s high-end end system. Its readership is mainly male (95%), middle class and under 65 years old.
“Since becoming an EISA member, it’s evident that we are seen as an important publication by the major consumer electronics companies, and the advantages of the EISA Convention are obvious. For our readers, Alta Fidelidad’s long membership of EISA has given them a perception of stability, and greater confidence in our turbulent and fast-changing market.”
